Flight of the Humblebee - Travel Program
The mission of the Humble Bumble Project is to alleviate even the slightest amount of financial burden faced by pediatric, adolescent, and adulthood cancer patients so patients and caregivers can focus on family rather than finance.
The mission of the Humble Bumble Project’s Flight of the Humblebee program is to provide eligible patients and caregivers with financial assistance for travel related expenses incurred while traveling to and from cancer treatment. Please review our Fact Sheet for specific program details.

The Humble Bumble Project is currently accepting referrals for our Flight of the Humblebee program. At this time, eligibility is restricted to active patients of James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Geisinger Cancer Institute, or Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital who reside in Bradford, Potter, Lycoming, or Tioga counties within Pennsylvania. All applicants must also meet the program criteria as outlined below. Applications may be submitted for individuals residing outside the identified counties and state and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the Board of Directors.
The maximum allocation per request is $1,300 and is dependent upon the availability of funds. Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received and are limited to one per patient. Subsequent applications will be reviewed by the Board of Directors. Potential approval is at the discretion of the board and, again, dependent upon the availability of funds.
